March 7, 200818 yr Question: Does anyone think either Dorsey or Ellis will be left at #9? I don't. If Cincy wants one of those guys, they have to move up, IMO. Forget about trading up with New England at #7. Why not explore the option of getting the #1 pick from the Dolphins? It is 50/50 right now; it probably comes down to Matt Ryan, if a team thinks he is worthy of a top 10 pick. If he goes, (and not in this order) Ryan, McFadden, J. Long, Clady and Dorsey, C. Long, Gholston, McElvins, and .....Ellis. I would also try to trade up with the abundance of picks the Bengals will have and assure myselft of getting the DT.

Forget about trading up with New England at #7. Why not explore the option of getting the #1 pick from the Dolphins? I have another question on the back of this one; do the Bengals need to get one of the DT's to have a successful draft? Rivers, a corner, Groves and Harvey will all be sitting there for the taking at nine. The Bengals can trade to get back into the bottom of the first round as well, where Balmer is waiting to be taken if they need a DT.
March 8, 200818 yr How about a more realistic scenario? Going by JJ's draft sheet, should Cincy trade the #9 pick and their third rounder to New England to move up two spots and assure that they get an elite DT... Obviously, if both guys are still available, there's a decent chance Cincy could stand pat and get one of them...but, if one of them is gone, can they afford to risk the other guy going at #7 or #8...and don't be so sure that the Pats won't take a DT. The Pats will take a CB.
March 8, 200818 yr They will take LB Dan Conner from Penn State. He tackles well and doesn't get into trouble off the field -- a rarity on the current roster.

March 8, 200818 yr I think the Pats take a corner and the Bills take Conner. I REALLY wish the Bengals would make a deal for Hayensworth then be free to take a Gholston. I think there are two big wild cards in front of the Bengals. One is where will Ryan go? If the Falcons are sold on him then I could see him going there if not then it will get interesting. The second wild card is what happens with McFadden. I've seen him in the top 2 or 3 to falling out of the top 10. I don't believe teams like the Raiders and Jets would pass on him. It is really hard to trade up into the top 10 because you lose a lot and you pay a lot. If somebody does trade up then it can shake the whole draft up. The Bengals are in a good spot because they can sit their with their top 10 picks on a wish list and no matter what happens they will get one of them. I don't see the two D Tackles coming close to being around at 9 IMO. I think they could trade back a few spots and still get somebody like Harvey. If somebody like Ryan slipped then they could be sitting pretty to trade back a couple of spots. IMO they stay at 9 and get Gholston though.
March 9, 200818 yr The Pats will take a CB. They'll almost certainly pick a DB at some point, but if they stay at #7, I don't think they'll use that pick on one.
