OLDSCHOOL PATS Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Monday night Lincoln Co. vs Wayne Co. followed by East Jessamie vs Casey Co. Tuesday night Southwestern vs Mercer Co. followed by Rockcastle Co. vs Danville. Looks like the top halve will be very tough.

Jim Schue Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Since the 5th is using 12th Region officials, can I assume vice-versa to be the case? And will the 5th and 12th swap for boys as well?

KYHOOP Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 1ST ROUND Lincoln by 5 over Wayne Casey by 13 over E.J. S.W. by 9 over Mercer Rock by 12 over Danville 2ND ROUND Casey by 7 over Lincoln Rock by 5 over S.W. Finals Casey by 3 over Rock
thegeneral Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 What kind of travel problems, does this create for the Officials? It's not as bad as it might sound because the 5th actually borders the 12th directly to the west. It's less than 90 minutes from Stanford to Campbellsville or Bardstown.
Jesse James Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 The topside is loaded with Lincoln, Wayne and Casey. Rockcastle will come out of the bottom I think, although I thought that last year also.

Agree 100%!!! I have to say the topside will be fun to watch if you like basketball. That will be some of the best basketball played in the region.:thumb:
warrior_69 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 1ST ROUND Lincoln by 5 over Wayne Casey by 13 over E.J. S.W. by 9 over Mercer Rock by 12 over Danville 2ND ROUND Casey by 7 over Lincoln Rock by 5 over S.W. Finals Casey by 3 over Rock I like your way of thinking, but never countout Wayne and SW. And Lincoln is going to be hard to beat on their home floor. I'm going to make a prediction Wayne by 5 over Lincoln.

It's less than 90 minutes from Stanford to Campbellsville or Bardstown. It's definitely less than that. With the girls' 5th at North Hardin, that is kind of the extreme northwestern end of the region, but back when I lived in London (which was the extreme southeastern end of the 12th in the old days), I could drive to E'town in an hour and a half. Radcliff, where North Hardin is, lies just 10 minutes past E'town. All-in-all, not that bad a trip. Certainly nothing like what some of the guys in the 15th/16th are going to endure.

By the way, I usually like the 5th Region officials working the 12th Region tournament. They do a pretty nice job.
