Ideally, yes. But how many times have we all heard things like "you just don't call that with the game on the line"?

I can understand your position and have seen a no call there before.

 

BUT, when two players fall to the ground after contact is made, how is there not a foul there?

Congratulations to Pendleton County and Deming tonight. They played their HEARTS out. It was one of the more enjoyable girls basketball games I have seen this year. Refereeing left a little to be desired though.

I believe it has to be a no call. Referees should not decide games like this. It could have easily been an out of bounds call too. There should have been another overtime to let the players call. I thought the referees nitpicked all night on touch fouls, while refusing to call rough contact under the basket. This was both ways. I love to see physical basketball, but don't call the little stuff and leave out the rough.
