I was basing it off the fact that no inclement weather had started and I know Jones wouldn't just cancel for no reason because it would be losing money. Yet, he knows what is most important and if he canceled it, it's probably because of the weather. In no way is the life of a child more important than money. You totally didn't understand that.

Lincoln played Garrard tonight and Boyle is currently playing Danville( down 4 at the end of 3) with no problem whatsoever. I also heard today that Rice is the leading candidate at Pulaski County. Any truth to that from all my friends down south?

I highly doubt that Rice would leave SW until after next year, if he leaves at all. Although Rumor has it that a former coach from SW is wanting the job. Remember it's just a rumor.

No i sure was not making the comments towards you, rather than a few of them that thought that it was a disgrace because instead of one game per night they're having two tomorrow night.

If you are directing that toward me, I just found it odd that all the others had their games tonight and these were cancelled before 2pm today. Somerset boys had no problems getting to their game at Rockcastle.

What difference does it make if they have it tomorrow, next week, or three weeks from now? As long as everyone is safe and the games are played who cares how much money is lost because it's not benefitting yours nor my pockets.

It does not make any difference, just pointing out that I thought it was strange. At least there should be a decent crowd for the orange and blue tommorrow night with a girls/boys double header.:thumb:

The Girls practiced after us today, and I can guarentee you that it was not Coach Rices idea to cancel tonights game.He wanted to play but the decision to cancel was made by someone higher up on the pay scale. Also Everyone was practicing so there are no injuries or illness to speak of.

 

Coach Rice is Not going to leave SW for PC. He has to much talent returning. I do not know anything for sure , this is my opinion only, but when I read that Coach Hurt was retiring in todays newspaper I wondered if Coach Darry Burkett would apply. I had the privalege of working with Coach Burkett at SW and he Knows the game.He also has a daughter that will be playing at PC in the near future. I think it would be a win win situation if PC hired him.

Let me see, if I understand. McCreary Central is hosting the tournament but tonight's game was canceled, due to impending bad weather. We're not sure, whom canceled or who requested.

 

Here's my question, if canceled for the weather and some stated nothing was happening, then sounds like another reason may have been the cause. This will also affect the Boys bracket.

 

Makes one wonder, why a higher pay scale person, would want to cancel a game and not consult with their own coach. I don't see a decision being made, without consultation by the coach. Just don't see it happening.
