Your assumption is correct.

Why was it postponed? Its doing nothing as far as weather here in Monticello and I know Monticello wanted to move the game to 6PM to give another hour to beat the weather, if indeed there is any weather, and Rice did not. Does Rice have a sick player or something?

As you can see, nothing close to McCreary Central or Pulaski County as of 2:50 PM.

I think it's the assumption that the area is under a winter weather advisory. It is icing a little here in McCreary, although it's not coming up on the radar.

This is absolutly crazy. There is no weather going on. Who made the decision to cancel the game. Is it the host school or KHSAA.

I have no idea who actually canceled it, I just got word a few hours ago. However, all after school activities are canceled at the school too. So maybe there is something that I'm not up-to-date with.

I'll get right on that. To be honest, I wouldn't figure that Robby would do it. It is set up to where they can make maximum money. Now with two games on Wednesday (weather permitting), it cuts down in the profit.

 

How about those Cards, James? What will they have in the district championship game (assuming MC and WC both make it)?

I think it will be a good game. McCreary has a really good team and I like the way they play. They have Watts( whom anyone would love to have) and have a good point guard to direct traffic and the others to go with those two. I saw them play Pulaski at the first of the year and I knew they were for real then. Wayne is playing the best ball of the year right now and its gonna be a good game. Advantage MC, because of home court. McCreary by 5.

They are just looking out for the interest of the fans and teams well-being. The winter weather watch didn't go in to effect until 7:00 PM tonight which would be game time.

As far as moving the game to 6;00, both schools agreed to this earlier in the day. According to a friend of mine whose daughter is on SW team, he states all players are healthy and injury free. It is my understanding that coaches have no say so in cancelling games, the principals, athletic directors, transportation directors and superintendents would have that authority. I'm sure both teams were prepared to play tonight. I agree with warrior 69, losing a little gate money compared to a childs life is a small price to pay. By the way, it was snowing at 7pm and continues to do so at the present time.
