Let me see, if I understand. McCreary Central is hosting the tournament but tonight's game was canceled, due to impending bad weather. We're not sure, whom canceled or who requested.

 

Here's my question, if canceled for the weather and some stated nothing was happening, then sounds like another reason may have been the cause. This will also affect the Boys bracket.

 

Makes one wonder, why a higher pay scale person, would want to cancel a game and not consult with their own coach. I don't see a decision being made, without consultation by the coach. Just don't see it happening.

 

I talked to the A.D. at Southwestern today about 1:30 PM. He advised me that he and the A.D. from McCreary Central had talked and decieded to cancel because of inclement weather. Now weather or not that be the case who knows.

Yes it was a mix of rain and snow where i was at nothing heavy but u could tell that it was a mix. But about 5:30 PM the mix had turned over to all snow so i'm gonna say that it was for the right reasons. I'd like to think so anyway.

Looks to me like Southwestern and Rice might fit in better in the 13th region.

Other Districts played in the area but you're 100% correct, if canceled for the right reasons.

I think this is getting blown way out of proportion! The game was cancelled theres nothing no one can do about it. Everyone is safe no one is hurt. So i think if you want to watch these games go TOMORROW watch these games and be happy. Who cares as to why the games were cancelled?

Bad news!

 

If they want to have any games tonight, they'll really have to start clearing the roads. Several inches are sitting down here in McCreary.

This is crazy. The game should have been played last night. It is much worse today than yesterday. It makes you wonder who is running the asylum.

Ok as of 11:00 AM these games WILL BE PLAYED TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you all will be glad to hear this i'm sure. I'm sorry if this has ruined your day because you have nothing to nag Rice about. I mean he has no control over if it gets cancelled or not.

As of 2:24pm, the games will still be played. I received word from Superintendent Donnie Wright that Monticello/Southwestern at 6:00pm and McCreary Central/Southwestern at 8:00pm.

 

However, it has been snowing very heavy here for the past twenty or so minutes.

This makes alot of sense. The weather last night was much better than this afternoon and tonight. McCreary does not need to host this tournament again.
