:confused: Cubster, they have scouted Russell all year and knew the kids had not done well against pressure. The fact that Greenup didn't press from the opening tip is the big :confused:.

 

The Russell kids handled the press better last night than they have all season and everyone who played contributed. The big difference in the game was the the early foul trouble for Mabery. There was an 11 point swing while he was on the bench with fouls. Now I'm not saying that Russell didn't commit every foul, because they did. In the second half when Mabery and Ferguson were on the bench with fouls Greenup's press was effective on two possessions on defense and helped Greenup get to the middle on offense several times.

Lewis beat Greenup by 20+

 

If I do not recall Greenup beat Lewis Co by about 20 or plus last season at home than they went to districts at Lewis and got beat. Why does people got to be dogging the fact that Greenup got a good draw for districts. Maybe they will do good things with that.

I'm not dogging Greenup Co. You're right Greenup got the benefit of the draw, and are benefiting from it. No problem. I only posted the margin of victory for the Raceland/Greenup game to retort your post that the regular season match up between the two teams was close. No dogging from me.

Congratulations to Greenup Co. on the win. I would agree that drawing Russell was the best draw but when it is tournament time anything goes.

Shaft is saying that Greenup is lucky with getting Russell in the draw and you said that it wouldnt have mattered, but now your trying so say Greenup got a good draw and getting mad that people have been saying that.

Yes and got beat by i belive 2 and could have scored to win the game late in the fourth.
