Also, Boone has lost to 3 teams that Holmes beat by 20. (St Henry, Holy Cross, Davies County)

 

Well I guess Holmes is in a lot of trouble. Boone has far more superior athletes than Holmes. Holmes, being one of the top 3 defensive teams in the state is going to be in a world of trouble. They haven't seen anyone like Boone this year. They might as well not even play the game tonight. I'll give Coach Henley the message.

 

I never said they had the best athletes. I said they had a chance to win this game. They are one of the top offensive teams in the state. Look at the KHSAA statistics.

Offense sells tickets, defense wins games. Bottom line.

I respect the fact that Boone may be at its best running but Highlands played a whale of a game trying to run with Holmes and still came up short. I think there are probably less than a handful of teams that can actually run with them for an entire game probably in the entire state. That is one thing that really impressed me about Holmes. Highlands scored more points on them than a lot of teams but it never seemed to affect them, the nearest guy alwas grabbed it right out of the net and Avery always was yelling making them well aware of where he was. Even after a long good defensive possesion and Highlands would get a bucket they never hung their head, just got it out and got up the court...

 

Boone could beat Holmes, but they shouldn't beat them...
