I believe Rose Hill did it in Mayo's last year. Lost to Ashland in overtime in the 64th final, went on to beat Ashland in the regional final.

15th Region, Belfry in 1991, not sure but I believe Shelby Valley did it a few years ago.

In 2004 in the 1st region, all 4 district losers won the 1st round of the regional tournament.

Carlisle beat Marshall

Heath beat Graves

Mayfield beat Fulton County

Calloway beat Paducah Tilghman

 

Carlisle went on to beat Calloway County in double overtime in the finals. One of the better regional tournaments in some time.

Russell in 2006 lost district to Greenup Co. and won the 16th the next week.
