We've gotten pretty far off topic here. So, to get back to the original question, what I noticed from their body language, especially Hillary, was their absolute hatred of any mention of George Bush. They're not faking it.

And I would have qualms in voting for a " former " Baptist Minister for President . Baptist doesn't concermn me , but the Minister part does .

I've wondered about that myself. Usually it's a lifelong commitment and "former" Baptist ministers are rare. LBBC, can you shed some light on this one?

 

BTW, Huckabee is a "former" officer in the NWTF. Anyone checked on that one?

Body Language - McCain hates Romney and I will have to say that Romney feels the same way about McCain.

 

Obama - Clinton - I am just uncomfortable whenever I see them together. I'd rather they just smack the fire out of each other instead of trying to make us think that they "just might" like each other

 

 

I just feel like be totally honest today - so here I go.

 

Romney - I can't help but feel that he is selling me something, I don't want, everytime I listen to him. I would never not vote for a person because of their religion. I would hope that my faith is strong enough not to be scared of their faith. To be quite honest I just find him, IMO, to be a fake.

 

McCain - I think McCain is a cannon ready to blow and he scares me. I would never put the RED phone in his control.

 

Huckabee - I think is a good man and I feel sure has good intentions - I just am not comfortable with him. I will have to say that I think his wife is a delight, so I comment him for his choice in his wife.

 

Obama - I think he is totally confident in himself and I'm not so sure that he should feel as much confidence as he does. I just don't think that he's "paid enough dues" at this early stage in his life to be president. I think he has wonderful intentions and I truly think he feels for those less fortunate but I just can't vote for him. Plus I think his wife has a smart mouth and that has just turned me off.

 

Clinton - As all of you know, I am a Clinton fan and I probably won't be swayed from that vote. I will say that I am troubled by her allowing Bill to speech so much. I wish she would leave him at home and let her own voice speak for her. If she doesn't quite Bill down in the next few months I willl have to readdress my assessment.

 

The bottom line is this - If Hillary can't shut Bill up then I will not have a vote this time around.

NWTF is the National Wild Turkey Federation. It's a conservation group. My kind of people.

 

Is he no longer a Baptist minister or does he no longer have a church? There is a difference.

The bottom line is,fair or not(and i think it's fair) that one's religious convictions, or lack of them, plays a role in the choosing of a President. Don't you think many voters would refuse to vote for an athiest, just on the religious issue alone? The same is true for Romney, although I don't think as many will be turned off as if he was a proud atheist or agnostic.

Another thing that is a tad bit unfair is that voters don't like to vote for an aging woman. When most men age, they tend to look more distinguished. Women on the other hand just look old. Hillary is going to have to invest heavily in a makeup artist for this campaign. If she starts look tired and haggard, it could kill her in the general election. Just ask Tricky Dicky.

I don't disagree with you in general, but ,man, Hillary looks so much better now than she did twenty five years ago. What a homely YOUNG woman she was!
