Fear 'Les' 13th Regional Ratings Jan. 31 - Feb. 7

Featured Replies

Well considering the fact that Les has Clay ranked #7 and Pineville #1, if Clay was able to go over to Pineville and win I Personally think that would be a upset. So what exactly would you call a upset?

Also You need to check your facts, because Pineville came to Clay County last year and handed them a 45-71 loss.

Sorry, must of missed that game. Its hard to keep up sometimes when you live in Bowling Green. Thanks for filling me in on that.

Lots of "BUMPING" on this thread Les. I'd say most are anxious to see how all this unfolds in March instead of following your rankings.

BUMP .... BUMP

[Pineville beats Clay County}

Now, if only Pineville can pull it off agaisnt Corbin. People on here(besides Les, who has done a good job) may give the Mountain Lions credit for being a region contender! We aren't sure what the bracket is going to look like for the region tourney just yet, but this may be a preview to the region Championship game! Of course, I shouldn't say that because who the heck knows in the 13th region this year?

They were ranked third in the region in the preseason in the Cats' Pause. They've been given plenty of credit.

Pineville has been considered one of the best teams in the region all year long. Also, I know Im a Tiger fan but I have to say I think if Kendall Reid had got to play that game that it would have never went to OT. But hey thats just a Tiger fan talking. But nice game by Pineville.

Anyone who has watched the 13th region teams, knows that the field is WIDE open.

Yea, but as the season has progressed people have doubted them because of a "weak schedule". Thats what I was referring to.

I know this belongs in the game thread but I figured I would address this issue since its already on here. I'm sure he would have made an impact, but the story for Pineville's season is find a way to win, no matter what happens I think Pineville would have pulled this one out.

Good win Pineville.

South Laurel falls to Boyle County ... Thursday's game could be a No. 1 versus No. 2.

You could be right, but Reed in my opinion is the best defensive player the Tiger has and he is also a very nice shooter. But I think the loss of DJ Wilson in the OT period also really hurt the Tigers, but either way Pineville came out with the win.

Yea, I think that changed Pineville's defensive strategy completely. When he went out one less shooter. What's the 49th District Tourney look like?

True. Should be a #1 vs. #2 quality game too.

The 49th district should be a great tournment. You have Clay, Jackson and North that could win it. Also the 49th doesnt seed the teams so, Clay and Jackson could draw each other first round and one of those teams would miss the region tournment. The draw will be held friday at North Laurel.
