Yes, they were up 62-40 with a little over 4 minutes to go and subbed heavily while M'boro pressed till the buzzer sounded resulting in the 66-55 final.

The ratings are perfect this week man. North Laurel can upset any team in the region. I also agree that after 8 there is a huge drop off. Knox Central is hosting the Region. I think that makes it advantage KC and Pineville (won the district there last year). I am sticking with my pick of KC to win it though.

 

BTW - Clay County is a very fundamentally good team, but they are not top 5 material IMO.

Where are the officals coming from for the 13th region? I have heard that the 14th region officals will be calling the 13th region at Knox Central High school. Who are some of the top ranked officals over there. I know Tommy Hutton will be one of them and maybe Glen Napier. After that I am clueless as far as the top 6. Maybe some of our friends in the 14th can enlighten us on the matter.

I agree with Pineville being the best team in Region after their win agaisnt Cumberland, I think Pineville do NOT get the attention they need to on here, they have a veteran squad and James David Strange is a TOP NOTCH guard. Don't accuse me of being from Pineville, because I'm far from it, but I've seen them play quite a bit...Glad to see they are number one..

I do not think that the best overall team in the 13th region gets beat in the first round of the All A State. I know Bardstown is a good team, but they lost their two best players from last years team and maybe a couple more and they are not a great team by any stretch. Pineville is a good team, but definitely not the best in the region. I really dont think anyone has played well enough to be ranked #1 at this point, but I guess someone has to fill the slot for this week.

I do not think that the best overall team in the 13th region gets beat in the first round of the All A State. I know Bardstown is a good team, but they lost their two best players from last years team and maybe a couple more and they are not a great team by any stretch. Pineville is a good team, but definitely not the best in the region. I really dont think anyone has played well enough to be ranked #1 at this point, but I guess someone has to fill the slot for this week.

History Note: When Corbin played in Class A, I do not think they could get out of the region. I think at that time basketball in the 13th region was stronger. So, it is hard to say if Corbin who is the best team in many peoples eyes could get a win in Richmond.:thumb:

Bardstown is a good basketball team. Pineville should hold their heads up despite the fact they blew a 12 point lead simply because they can redeem themselves with Clay Co. and Corbin on the schedule next week. Pineville is not the best team in the region but come tournament time they will definitely shake things up and maybe even win it. I agree 100% with Les' rankings this week. With big games coming up this week I am more than positive teams will keep moving up and down.
