It's good to see Clay picking up some big wins. With their youth, I look to see many more wins in the future. By the '09-10 season, I think they will be regional/state contenders like the Lady Tigers.

IMO Cumberland is at least a top 5. They have not been beat bad by anyone YET, the only KY teams to beat them are Pineville(#1 in this poll and rightfully so) and Hazard(in the state All A finals today). So IMO if its strictly about basketball and not about anything and anybody, then they are a top 5 team in any poll. But let me stress that this is just my opinion.

Clay looked really good last night. I love a good district rivalry game, but the brawl that ensued after the game was a bit scary. :| I hope JCHS takes a good look into crowd control after what happened.

 

CLay dis play well and Jackson did not. I thought that JCHS did a good job with crowd control. It was Clay's coach who didn't do a good job representing Clay Co. And I am a non-biased fan of basketball. Both teams played hard Jackson just made poor decision with the basketball late in the game.

Les, your going to have to move Clay Co atleast up in the top 5 now, I see a real shocker when Clay goes to Pineville this week, because I feel like they are going to pull out the upset.

Also, The 13th is wide open this year I could see South, Pineville, Corbin, Clay, Knox, Jackson or Cumberland heading to rupp. It should be a great tournment!

Please, tell me how that will be an upset? Just because they are ranked lower than Pineville as of right now in the region doesn't make it an upset if they beat them. Pineville and Clay Co. are both playing top notch ball right now. But, the fact of the matter is Pineville has never beaten Clay Co. it has been over 2 or 3 decades if they have. Clay Co. hit a crap 3 pointer a few years ago as the buzzer went off to beat the mountain lions the last time they played. I think that Pineville beating Clay Co. should be considered an upset more than Clay Co. beating Pineville.

Like I've said a million times should be an interesting region tourney.

Well considering the fact that Les has Clay ranked #7 and Pineville #1, if Clay was able to go over to Pineville and win I Personally think that would be a upset. So what exactly would you call a upset?

 

Also You need to check your facts, because Pineville came to Clay County last year and handed them a 45-71 loss.
