Fairview 70 Greenup 58

Great game to watch! Both teams played very good but Greenup couldnt seem to stop Hall in the 4th. He ended up having 30 points. Greenup played the best they have all season in my opinion. Middelton played really good as well scoring 25. Greenup seemed to be playing more comfortable with thier now coach and his style of play.

I agree, best game I've seen Greenup play all year. Played really well for 3 1/2 quarters. Had a rough last half of the 4th. I think Smith and Sutton are doing a great job and the team is much improved. Seems like all the players, except for one, are in it as a TEAM now and want the rest of the team to do well also. Just wish HE would be more of a team player and less of a showboat.. I still think the more some players are allowed to get by with, the more they will try to do. I think he should be sat down and ripped just like the rest of the team is.. I think a lot of this goes back to the one quarter suspension, that was not nearly enough.

As Hall goes so goes the Eagles. Sutton is getting more out of the troops by employing a more conventional style. I think Fairview could be a spoiler come March but I have been disappointed thus far.

Was all of that necessary? I think you'd have earned a bit more respect had you left out the bolded. If you read the post up to that point, it was classy and informative. And folks wonder why the Greenup situation is looked down on so much.

Good luck to those boys down there the rest of the way. Wish you could finish the season with earplugs and blinders!

Only in America, baby!

This was a very entertaining game to watch. Greenup shot the ball better than I've seen them all year. Fairview missed some easy shots in the first half and didn't take control until late in the 4th. Nice game for both teams.

Yes, I think it was necessary. Only stating what everyone else sees and talks about. I think there is very little wonder why the Greenup situation is looked down on so much. Pretty much everyone knows why. Not confused.

I have always wished those boys the best of luck, they have had a rough two seasons in a row now.

Maybe will help the confidence of Greenup w/ the Devils coming up.

Just curious, were you at the game? If so, what is your take on the situation?

You have me really confused was the palyer in question part of last years problem?

No sir, I was not at the game. My point is that although you say that Greenup played it's best game of the year, you had to add all of the negative. I simpy am suggesting that if Greenup has any chance to return to respectability throughout the community, there is going to have to come a time where the negative comments cease. Although they may be observations and opinions and I understand that everyone has their own, what good comes of it? I think that if we all leave those in position to coach alone and handle issues as they arise, Greenup has a chance to return to respectability. However, I can picture no scenario where the community will let that happen.

I didn't figure you were. Why all the concern with Greenup then? I didn't have to add all the negative, I am simply stating the facts. I have said in every post that I wish the Greenup boys the best and that I feel like Smith and Sutton are doing a fine job. If anything, I am taking up for the rest of the boys. I stated this in my first post in this forum. I think Greenup will return to having respectability, they just need to address some of the issues that exist and not saying/doing anything about them will not help.

Well, I have some very good friends from Wurtland, Greenup, Lloyd, and South Shore. I have known coaches and administrators from that school for the better part of 30 years. I have been a fan and supporter for decades. And I've seen them come and seen them go. What is different now is that there are too many chiefs, NO indians. When you feed negativity in, you get negativity out. If you feel airing out the dirty laundry is the right approach, well, it's worked well for a few years now.

Good luck to the new coaches and whomever inherits that program. I truly wish them the very best. Once again, with earplugs and blinders!

I have the same, as far as friends and ties with the school district. I'm finished with this post, not getting anywhere and too much being looked in to what I said. I am and always will be a great supporter of Greenup athletics and I always wish them the best. No more "negativity in" from me for awhile.

I just hope the "too many chiefs, NO indians" comment wasn't meant to be negative!

DUCK07, you never answered
