Did you happen to watch the game Tuesday night, kyhoops? If so, you would have known why McCreary shot so many free-throws due to Lincoln county fouling at the end of the game to extend the time and give Lincoln more chances to catch up when the Raiders were in control.

 

And yes, McCreary did play a bad game against Southwestern, but Lincoln also barely escaped Wayne County tonite where McCreary beat them by 13.

 

All i can say is, wait until the Region comes around. McCreary will be at Pulaski, and if they play to their full extent, they will also be at Rupp. Go Raiders!:thumb:

 

 

McCreary had 6 turnovers, 12 steals, 12 offensive rebounds, made 47% of their 2's, and 78% of their FT's, and you all made six 3's in the game with SW. I thought they played pretty well. In fact during the time McCreary went from 14 points down to 11 points ahead I thought you all played extremely well.

 

I will give McCreary credit because, that was the best SW played all year and McCreary still managed to win.

 

 

And just to compare when you all beat us 26 at your place;

McCreary had 16 turnovers, 7 offensive rebounds, shot 61% from 2's, and made 82% of your FT's made 8 threes.

The Raiders beat Lincoln Co. on tuesday night and now it's sunday morning and this thread is still going. I must say you guys must have alout of passion for highschool basketball. I can't wait till the regional starts. Good luck to all. GO PATS

MCC beat LC last year during the "regular" season. LC won the region.

 

A regular season victory is worth just that, a victory in the regular season. We will see who the better team in the regional tournament on a neutral court.

 

I feel like LC has not been playing their best as of late, except for the Madison Central game.

 

The Raiders won, and are a good team. I said it earlier and I will say it again. LC had a very poor shooting night. Some of this was do to defense, however LC missed a LOT of wide open three's down there that they usuall connect on.

 

We will see who is better in the region, when it counts. Assuming both teams make it that far. If LC doesn't tighten up, I don't feel like they will win the region.

Wow, finally a sane Lincoln County fan.

 

I agree with you on most things. Lincoln and McCreary both had poor nights, in my opinion. I feel that both teams are evenly matched and would love to see a rematch when they play their best game of the year. I think each team's defense attributed a lot of the other teams offense. I think Lincoln kept McCreary out of several plays and McCreary out of Lincoln's.

 

However, I feel that both teams kept their "cards" close to their chest. There is a play that McCreary will run five-to-seven times a game that is money nearly everytime. McCreary only attempted to run it once against Lincoln and it succeeded in a Watts three.

 

Both of these teams are at the top of the region. If fate has it, it would be an awesome regional championship game.
