January 29, 200818 yr If this does come true, it won't be the first time that a movie has "told the future" of a sporting event. If anyone remembers the "Back to the Future" movies, one of them predicted that Florida would win the 1997 World Series. At the time of the movie, there wasn't even a Major League baseball team in Florida. Wasn't that team called Miami though? Even if it was still pretty impressive.

As I remember from Back to the Future II the Cubs were the only team officially that a "prediction" was made for. Why do I specifically know that is right? Simple, because my friend from college pointed it out while we watched the movie once and since he is from the 2nd City he said that its always been a joke amongst his friends that in 2015 like the movie suggests that the Cubs will finally win the World Series again. Miami was the team listed as the one the Cubs beat and while yes its somewhat impressive that a movie predicted that there would be a team located in Miami, as Snopes points out, that prediction wasn't too far fetched seeing as the size of Miami suggests a major league team was due to be brought in there.
