Franklin County @ Scott County

Do the Flyers have any shot in this one?

It would be a huge upset.

FC has no seniors is not very deep.....SC has many experienced seniors and the best coach in the state.

Scott Co. has one high school and a population of around 40,000.....Franklin County has three high schools and a population of around 40,000.

If we turned the clock back to 1980 when there were only two high schools in the county (FHS andf FC), I would say yes. As a matter of fact I think FC waxed Scott Co in 1980.

This is a David vs Goliath matchup. Can't see the upset.

Scott Co. 76-54.

i believe Franklin county will be a surpise FC-72 SC-69 OT

One high school or three, not even close, SC by 20!

Nope.

Good luck to the flyers, play hard and sell out, never know what could happen.

SC by 20 if they play the way they have been, 3 gaurd lineup with Portwood at the point seems to be the answer.:dancingpa

I agree with your spread, the rest of your comment I do not, but reality is Scott Co. is a powerhouse with one school in one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Franklin County is just fortunate to be able to play such a great team.

Does Franklin County get a percentage of the gate?:jump:

Franklin County pulls the upset. Also yeah one high school in Scott County three in Franklin County, thats just the way it is. We all know how things go in Scott County with basketball. Yes, Billy Hicks is one of if not the best coach in the state but he is blessed with a lot of talent that seems to show up. As for three schools in Franklin County....didnt make much of a difference in 1995 when the Flyers ran through everyone until they ran into Breckinridge County, including a 16 point beat down of #1 Lexington Catholic in the 11th Region Championship.

This will be a big challenge for the Flyers.

Keys for the FCHS:

Get off to a good start.

Don't give up easy baskets (open layups).

Distribute the ball and take good shots.

IMO they have done none of these things in their four losses to ranked opponents.
