Cov Cath blows a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter. :scared::scared:

 

Colonels will be in a third place game tomorrow against the loser of Gainesville/Scott Co.

This is a very disheartening loss for the Colonels. After being up 14 in the

4th quarter, Colonels start throwing the ball around and end up losing the game. Announcers for CCH say that this is the low point of the season for the Colonels! Yet another game in which Bondick was sorely missed.

I believe the interview he gave during their first round game in this tournament, he said that he might start practicing next week and slowly get back into the routine.

 

So you would think he should be 100 percent going into tournament time.

This is without a doubt the worst "quarter" of basketball, that I have seen CovCath play in years! Poor shot selections, poor "D", poor effort by most of the players on the floor, mix all that up and you have the recipe for getting your butt beat, in a game you should have won hands down. CovCath should have beaten Stone Mt. by at least 15 points. Colonels, you have to remember that the game of basketball at least at the HS level, is 32 minutes long. Poor effort tonight gentlemen, poor effort indeed, at least in the fourth quarter.

Cov. Cath was no doubt the better team, just rolled over in the 4th, didn't look as if they even wanted to win the game in the 4th.

They went up 13 with about 6:30 left and then had a slew of TOs , missed shouts, fouls, and gave up offensive rebounds to the other team. The lack of a 2nd ballhandler seemed to rear its ugly head last night.

I don't know what it is but Cov Cath always seems to get outplayed in the fourth quarter, especially on letting the other team get second and third chances. Their rebounding is abysmal late in the game.
