I saw where Corbin shot 23.7% from the field, any idea what South Laurel shot? How about the rebounding totals? Corbin outrebounded South by around 20 the first game, but I'm guessing that South came out on top in that area last night as well.

Watkins had 21 points and is a one of the better shooters in the region.

Where is Bubba Wilson at? I wonder if he was at this game or the Lynn Camp/Barbourville game?

I only believe wazoo does north and south home games.

It is one of those schools, BUT the other two teams dropped a spot because of the South win. Remember, I had South rated seventh last week.

Les do you think Corbin is trying to play to many people. Or is playing with Crawford mess with the chemistry.

I would admit after watching the Hounds play last night if I was in a singin mood it would surely be a "Blues Song".

 

I thought South Laurel played very well and seemed to have a solid gameplan even overcoming foul trouble to St. John's and the absence of Gilbert. Watkins was stellar and seemed to be the secret weapon for Coach Wright and Company.

Hounds seemed out of sync, but they can learn alot through the loss if they use it the correct way. If the Hounds had the big head after the thumpin they took last night they should be down to earth for the remainder of their games. I look for a more motivated Corbin team tomorrow night against district foe Whitley County. I am sure Coach P got his message through loud and clear today in practice. One has to remember, you are never as good as you think nor are you as bad as you think. This can be applied to all walks of life.

I think Corbin has a great B-Ball Program, but over the years teams that can handle the Hounds pressure and make them play half court give them problems. I was not @ the game but that sounds like what happened in this one.

South wanted it much more, was much more aggressive, played great defense, and had a great gameplan. South hit the Hounds in the mouth early and the Hounds never responded. I think Corbin thought they would have an easy time like they did in the first matchup. Corbin had no flow, no chemistry, showed no heart, and was completely and thoroughly outplayed and outcoached. While I am not a fan of Steve Wright, the guy can flat out coach and he had his guys chomping at the bit for Corbin. South knew they were going to win before tipoff. We will see if Corbin can recover from this. They may be done. I have not been overly impressed with the Hounds but never expected them to back down and basically quit against the Cards. If they can't right the ship fast, Knox will pound them Friday. I hope the Hounds can show some heart and toughness from here on out. This effort was the worst I've seen in many, many years.

I would agree the Hounds were totally outplayed, but I would not write the Hounds off just yet. There is alot of basketball to be played and the best team on January the 22nd might not be the best team come a month from now.

I agree. This team is tough. They will bounce back. They will use this loss to make themselves better. GO HOUNDS!!!

I personally thought that corbin was out coached. I'm not saying Petrowski is a bad coach the other he didn't do a very good job. South has been playing that 2-3 matchup zone since Roscoe Denny arrived 10 or so years ago.

What is Corbin's record since C.F.I.T.?
