St. Patricks 67 Deming 64

Garth Grause played a whale of a game tonight on both ends of the floor!

Has made huge strides as the season has progressed, will be a MAJOR contributing factor to the '08-'09 Blackdevils.

Tough loss for the home team tonight!

St. Patrick is a talented, veteran ball club who was up to the task.

Deming could have rolled over after getting caught and passed at the 4:48 mark, but didn't - regrouped and made a great game of it.

I disagree with the "Freshmen Mistake" comment above in reference to the two-point shot with the clock running out by one of the King twins. IMO it was the only shot open to him and with the clock running out, had no other option other than to swallow it.

:thumb: I must ditto that comment. L King did all he could do. Pressure allowed him to do nothing else....not a mistake...a last resort of sorts. Those twins played their guts out.

Deming's big man #25 worked it under the basket tonight with some powerful pull-downs on both ends of the floor.

I agree it was an exciting game, I thought St. Patrick stepped their defense up in the fourth quarter, didn't play any defense the first 3 quarters. If they would run that intensity all 4 quarters they would be even better than they already are. St. Patrick basically played 6 on 4 in the 4th quarter. The 6th man was the ball handler from Deming who turned it over 3 straight times that resulted into layups. I can't for the life of me figure out why one of the King brothers was not asked to bring the ball up against the Saints press. They are the better free throw shooters, the go to guys on the Black Devil team. Congrats to the Saints!

Im not sure if anyone on Deming's team could have handled the pressure that Anderson had on Demings ball handler. He also wasn't the only one that turned it over.

I agree you can't blame the loss on one kid. Caleb does alot that doesn't get the accolades of some. He will be fine. Keep your head up Caleb:thumb:

U cant but the blame on one player for the loss. U win as a team and lose as a team.

You are 100% right... Deming missed a lot of opportunities the first few minutes of the game too.

Nice game by the Kings.. I felt they were the two best players on the floor.

Were you at the game? If so, what did you think of the T on Mason? I didn't see him do anything after the initial call that looked like it was deserving of a technical foul, but maybe I missed something. I thought maybe he said something to the ref, but someone told me they thought it was just because he made a face.

St. Patrick radio had nothing bad to say about it.
