On Monday, my three classes didn't go the entire time. My first one, GEO 100 at 7:30 a.m., was really short because the professor couldn't make it to class because weather forced his return from a conference to be delayed so there was a guy that subbed in long enough to give us the syllabus and a BRIEF intro into what the class was like.

My Tuesday-Thursday classes were a different story. I had to stay the entire time for both and even had an assignment to complete by my first class today...which means I've got to post this and head on over to the Landrum building.

Of my classes only my second one stinks. And when I say stinks, I mean like 6 people have already dropped and in 2 days I've already taken over 10 pages of notes. In addition all of those notes are given orally, nothing on over head or anything, he just lectures, and uses specific quotes which we have to take down.

I'm a lefty, by the time class was over I head ink on me from my fist, to forearm, to forehead. It really is horrible.

As a parent paying for tuition I wouldn't be happy. I want what I pay for. A professor (not a TA) in class for the full class time, everyday the class is offered. Tuition is too expensive these days and they better be giving me the best service for my money.

At NKU it is the professor teaching 100% of the time. I have never known of a TA teaching classes, but it may occur...

So classes started back at NKU yesterday and today is my first day of classes. I'm pretty sure the first day of classes are becoming obselete at NKU. Typically on the first day of class you get the syllabus discuss it, the course and then leave. That's what I just did in my first class, it lasted 15 of the scheduled 75 minutes.

Every class I have the syllabus was posted online before class, so there goes half the first day down the drain, the only part remaining is going over the syllabus in class. Usually the professors just read over it, I can read just fine. So my being able to read pretty much means that to me the first day of class is becoming obsolete.

I'm sitting here with 45 minutes til my next class, bored, and ranting, because I've been stressed about the first day back, and for what. So someone could read to me; was I really stressed about someone reading to me. That's all the firs day is anymore. Well I'm done complaining for now. Hope everyone has a great day.

P.S With only one class down, I've already spotted 5 cute chicks in the first class, hopefully this trend continues.

First day of class for me was always scoping out day and seeing who all the hotties were.

The first week went by pretty well for me. It'll be better once my financial aid refund check gets here. It was mailed from across campus on Tuesday and I have yet to receive it. I know the people who do the mail over here on the Housing side of campus and they have yet to see the envelope with my name on it. Oh and the thing that tops it all off is when I called the Office of Student Financial Assistance, I have to wait on hold for nearly 10-15 minutes (if I'm willing to wait that long) and once someone does answer the call, all I get is attitude from the people....when I say this, I'm not giving them a hard time because I know it has to be a stressful job right now during this period of time but when someone calls in and speaks graciously by using "yes ma'am" "no ma'am" or "yes sir" "no sir" responces and is STILL given crap, then that's not something that should be happening. :madman::madman::madman::madman:

So with all of that said, I've not been able to buy the books for four of the five classes I've got. I have the books from the other course because I'm doing it as a re-take. So far, in one class I'm 3 chapters behind, and in two of the other three, I'm two chapters behind. :madman::madman::madman::madman:

Doesn't the bookstore have deferments for this situation? I think they use to.
