Elliot plays the starters the whole game but falls just shy of the century mark.

I'll take Elliott by 12.

I believe they have became rivals the last 5 years or so. I am not sure they were rivals in the 90's. It was pretty one-sided through those years, as a player for East we never seemed to view that game as a big one. It has turned into a nice rivalry though, with the emergence of Elliott Co. onto the regional scene.

 

Alot longer than that Dude, I graduated from Elliott County in 1981 and we were big time rivals all the days that I was in school.

 

This was always the one game that people who didn't go the basketball games came to. This was always the one game that no matter how good a team you had the other could beat you. Everyone always played better than normal each time these two teams met.

 

Even tho I believe that Elliott County will win this game and I hope by 20+ I know East Carter will come to play and this will be a very good game to watch.

In terms of rivalry, this game has always been more important to Elliott Co. than it has to East Carter until recently. Elliott Co. has always viewed this game as the biggest game in their season. West Carter and Boyd Co. have always been much bigger games to East Carter however.

I played at Elliott County in the mid-90s and the East Carter was not our biggest game of the season. The West Carter, Rowan County, and Morgan County games were more important during that time for us.

Did you ever win any of those games? West was good in the mid 90's and the other ones were decent.

We never could beat West. But we beat Morgan and Rowan. That was when the Webbs played for West. They were a really good team. But in 97 I believe we beat all three.
