If I would only vote for somebody who believes exactly what I believe then the only person I could vote for is myself and I'm not running. Now what do I do?

 

 

I hold religion as being a really important issue that a candidate would have an opinion on. Obviously I cannon chose a candidate with all the same exact views on things as I do, but I pick and choose my most important issues, and find one who I can agree with and feel like can comfortably fun our country.

He's islamic. Our country was founded on christian values, and I cannot give my vote to a man who wont follow along in those footsteps. It has absolutely positively nothing to do with his race if that's what you're getting at. I was really looking at him as a candidate before I learned more about his views on issues and his religion.

I hear and read a lot of things that after a small amount of investigating/research end up being completely false.

 

I have even heard rumors that it happens in the P and R forum.

It's a vicious rumor being circulated on the internet, especially by email.

 

BTW, the only way I vote for Obama is if Guliani is the Republican candidate. Just so you know that I don't have a bias.

Obama is not a Muslim but it is very likely that he prayed in a mosque during childhood. There are people on record saying that he sometimes accompanied his Muslim father (maybe a stepfather) to a local mosque and that he was registered as a Muslim in elementary school. Whether Obama was or was not a Muslim as a child is irrelevant to me, but it might be an issue with some of the more radical sects of Islam.
