Intramural Hoops

Featured Replies

I didn't say anything negative about the competition. I played intramural sports ( volleyball, flag football, and bball) in college and loved it. I just would have never thought I would have seen the day when I was reading results of games.

Back in the day...HHS intramurals were run by the asst BBall coach and the V/JV kids refereed. Scores were kept and the "finals" were played at a school assembly. It USED to be pretty neat! ...and a place to keep developing kids playing!

I agree with The Old Guy about it saying "Boys Basketball" and the fact that they should be able to post here if they want. These are a great bunch of kids playing an intramural sport at their school and being proud of it. I have a son who is a senior at CCH and he has played all 4 years and had a blast doing it. Also, these same boys are always a part of the incredible cheering section that CCH always has at the basketball & football games and the majority of them are playing another sport, so this is for fun and bragging rights. Let the kids have their fun now, someday they will have to work for a living like the rest of us.

Thats how its done here at Cov Cath. The players display their great skillz for all to see. Coach L watches in amazement and wishes he could have had some of these all stars on his Squad.

It's a sad day in IBL today. The news was released today as league MVP through week 2, Brandon LaFever, came out of the hospital. Reporters say all the all star said was, "Negative."

"He's out for the season with a broken ankle," says Jake Nordman team leader of Team Nordman. Tough loss for the team as Jake Nordman and Mike Mahan will have to take over for the Light Blueish/Green squad.

agreed.

Team Shouse has a devastating defeat to team Frekking in today's businessman special at 1:30. The loss once again dips the team below .500 however the team is not worried because there is a simple explanation for the team's sloppy play. Six of the seven players who were at the game for Team Shouse had just returned from a retreat late Sunday night. They were both emotionally and physically drained. As team leader Danny Niehaus said after the game, "I was strait cashed after one trip down the floor." This team has a lot of spirit and will recover fine next week.

IMO, no one is going to be able to stop the unstoppable train that is Team Furnish. The team is just to deep and is strong in every single position. The outside shooting of Brent Buckley and Trey Marshall, the rebounding of Brandon Butler and Kyle Furnish, the drive and dish ability of Johnny Tibbers, and the the man that holds all the team together-Rob Egan. Can't forget Hans Roedig and his intimidating prescence that would even scare the Boogeyman himself.
