The Football All Stars from Kentucky and Tennessee will be squaring off in the All Star Game This Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands. It's now called The Border Bowl instead of the Kentucky-Tennessee All-Star Game. Their are a couple more All Star games to be played: East -West Game and the NKY All Star Game. Does anyone have any information on these or additional games(time, location, dates)?

Also, whatever is going on at the Cumberands, it is NOT the replacement game of the KY/TN Allstar game so saying it is called the Border Bowl instead of the KY/TN game is incorrect.

The KY/TN game will continue to be in the summer right?

No

In short, KY bent over backwards to keep the game alive but TN wasn't interested in playing the game in June any longer. From this point on the E/W game will take the place of the KY/TN game.

Where is WKU And can anyone tell me who will be playing for each side.

It is Western Kentucky University and the rosters are not set yet.

The KY/TN game has been suspended, it was replaced with a KY East/West game at WKU.

Is this the same East/West game that was held at Montgomery County last year? or is this a new East/West game?

This is the Kentucky State East/West game. It replaced the Kentucky/Tennessee game. When Tennessee backed out the Kentucky/Tennessee game last year, Kentucky replaced that game with a East/West game. So this is now the "Big" game for Kentucky players to play in.

As far as I know the North-Eastern Kentucky All-Star game is going to be played again this season, but I have not heard anything about yet.

Man, how long has the KY v Tn game been going on? I can't believe they backed out! Any reason why? Any chance KY starts playing another border state?

"It was difficult to end what was the second- or third-longest-running high school all-star event in the country," association executive director Bill Marbet said. "The biggest thing for us was just to get more kids involved at this time of year and get them in front of college coaches."

By being held in December, the game allows Tennessee to showcase its top talent. The Tennessee-Kentucky game had been played in June, thus excluding many top recruits already enrolled in college.

Here is a list of the series, it starts with games in 1984.

The game was fine for TN when they were winning most of the time. Not long after KY went on their run this excuse started surfacing.

I am going to miss the KY/TN game but I am excited about the East/West game.

Me neither. I am more excited about the East/West game. More Kentucky players will get an opportunity to be seen by college coaches, and the game is always in Kentucky. I think the East/West game will good for Kentucky football.
