Corbin won this game in the paint. They outrebounded South Laurel by 20 and took it inside almost every trip down the floor. St. John played well, but got tired(has to carry the load by himself inside)and started committing some frustration type fouls in the second half.

 

Corbin disrtibuted the ball well tonight, several times making the extra pass that led to easy baskets and had very balanced scoring with all five starters getting between 9-15 points each.

 

South Laurel hit a couple of contested threes early in the game and they seemed to fall in love with the three point shot. I'm not sure how many they shot, but it sure appeared to be way too many. South has to have someone step up their game and help St. John out on the inside or they will struggle against the teams who work to exploit this weakness.

IMO Corbin is the much better team this year (even without Crawford), South has fallen a little so far but they will always be an elite 13th team due to several factors. Corbin is rolling now, I wish Cumberland were in the Cumberland Falls this year, would be fun.

Where is the 13th region tourney this year? Has the site been announced? Knox Central maybe?

I thought the hounds played a really good second half. Issac Wilson is very underated and is young he will continue to get better. Madison Johnson is the real deal and with Crawford coming back Corbin has there chance to make the same type run that SL has made for the past three years.

I thought that the 51st district was in line to host at either Knox Central or Barbourville, but I heard recently that North Laurel is saying that they will be the host this year.
