December 15, 200718 yr How on earth are you going to be able to choose in a 5-way tie?:eek:Unfortunately, I will never have a chance to vote for Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo. That pares the number to three. I really hope that I will never have to choose between a Democrat and a RINO like McCain. Thompson's only shot at the nomination is a total collapse of Huckabee's campaign. That leaves Huckabee, who I believe is now the front runner despite what the media (and the RNC) wants us to believe. Giuliani is going to lose big in Iowa and he may lose NH as well. Once the voting starts in the southern states, Huckabee is going to be very hard to beat for the nomination. Hiring Ed Rollins to run his campaign has improved Huckabee's chances considerably. Anti-Christian bigotry may derail Huckabee's bid for the nomination, but I expect that mainstream voters who actually know a few Baptists will recognize the demonization of Mike Huckabee for what it is and will rally to his defense. I prefer candidates who genuinely believe in something to those who simply use the Bible as a prop for Sunday photo-ops. I favor scrapping primaries altogether and letting the parties select candidates in a smoke filled room again. That would shorten the campaign cycle and reduce the role of money plays in the selection process.
