I have an answer for you guys too!! For years Elliott boys and girls were beaten by horrendous margins. By 40 and 50 points plenty of times. Your right it does come back around and here they(ELLIOTT) are:ylsuper:

I guess everyone will just have to set and take it just like we did. I saw a game at Elliott once by the score of 91-12 with Elliott on the recieving end. Least we are not as classless as that team was:thumb: Schools like Elliott, Menifee, Bath, Rose Hill, etc were trounced on for years now one is giving it back and everyone is tore all to pieces!!!

FULL CIRCLE.........But what you have to remember is that people were beating up on these schools with their bench playing, not starters.......I can say that for 100% sure with Boyd Co. Roger does not llike scheduling those type of games but they have to be played if they are on the schedule. It just gives your bench a little more than normal playing time which is good for the players, and for the tournament down the road. I just think its wrong for you to leave starters in if you are up like that on someone. Leaving starters in just gives a bad impression to everyone about your school,team, and coach.

I dont care what anyone says........if you are up 30 or 40 and still have your starters in that is classes act as far as I see it....but you gotta remember, what comesaround the next few years will come back to bite you later on down the road...... Elliott will not always be the powerhouse they are now...And I think the other teams are going to remember getting the score run up on them. If you are up like that you need to let others who dont get much PT play. IMO

When accused of running up the score, I once heard Steve Spurrier say, "Its not my job to stop my offense."

 

As for EC leaving starters in too long......well they only dress what 8 or 10? If you dont have a guard to replace a guard do you insert a unskilled ball handler to run your offense just so you dont hurt your opponents feelings? Dont the subs you insert have just as much right to run their offensive sets and try to improve?

I dont speak for Roger and he has been around long enough for people to know he is not a classless act. Answer me one question if you want to call someone out for being classless, was 1 or both of the faulkners on the floor in the 4th qtr. of the West Carter blowout?

 

I honestly don't know. I wasn't there. I don't have to resort to changing the topic around to something else to still say, If your prior post was interpreted correctly, THAT WOULD BE CLASSLESS. As for blowouts, maybe starters left in the game too long is classless, one would have to be there to judge that. As for an implied directed injury to a player or players, CLASSLESS.

You're right. I have no idea how long the starters from each school have played. I know that Elliott and Boyd do not schedule one another every year.

I played ball against BC when Frank Lee was there and we were getting killed and Zornes kept Lee in for almost the whole game. I'm not saying roger is classless but I do think that he kept him in there to fattin' up Lee's stats. All college coaches look at are your averages at the end of the season and I think that has a little to do with what EC is doing right now.

Elliott doesn't play football, so for kicks, I'll guess Elliott by 4 TD's.

I can tell you when I played at BC we were pounding Elliott Co, and no starter played after about 3 minutes of the second quarter........but that was back in the day.....

I think this will be a physical game. This may be the only way to slow down Elliot Co. I hope cool head prevail and nobody gets hurt.
