Brossart 68 Bracken County 40

Featured Replies

Brossart actually led 68-29 before Bracken went on a 11-0 run to end the game! Emily Sanker led Brossart with 18.

Wow! I know its tough to go on the road and win in the 10th region, but gosh this pill has to be hard to swallow. That is two straight losses that are lopsided for Bracken County this week. This one I totally didn't see coming.

So, will the real Brossart team stand up. The Ludlow loss team or this Bracken dismantling team.

Wow.

Bracken pretty much dismantled themselves.Very dissapointing loss.

Is Bracken County not aloud to use there Bench.Just wondering. From what I seen at the game tonight, Looks like a very long season for the bears at this pace, And they have alot of talent on the bench

There is a great deal of talent over at Bracken County. Young talent, most of which are sophomores and juniors. These kids have endured success playing with one another over the years. Agree that these players need to log minutes, keep in mind that its at a different level now for most of these girls against varsity competition. I am a firm believer that in order to succeed, you must go through some bumps along the way and it won't hurt to expose these ladies to some rough situations.

Good and very accurate post.

Playing varsity is a different level that they have to learn to play.

It is physical. Some of these 10th region teams, expect to be bruised and battered afterwards. And offensively, you have to learn to be physical back.

It is quicker and faster. Game moves quicker. And plays have to be made faster. The slower thought process to make a successful play on the JV/frosh level ends up getting stolen or blocked on the varsity level.

Key thing is that more than anything, the PARENTS don't lose confidence in the coach nor the players as a TEAM. Parents making comments that the coaches don't know what they are doing, ridiculous they get beat by such a score, leads to the players losing confidence in the team and coach.

As a result, the team that should be learning and beginning to succeed, doesn't.

Another year, yet the same ole story for the BC girls basketball program. Does anyone know the off season conditioning program or even the season conditioning program at BC? These girls right know might be softball conditioned, but definetly not basketball. I said before this game that they were below St.Pat and Augusta in the region and will stick to that until the coaching staff adjusts to the strenghths and weaknesses of these girls which are obvious.

I have not seen these girls play yet this year. but I did hear that they had help this year in their conditioning program. Brought in local martial arts instructor in. From what I was told he work them hard. These girls will pull it together. They have tallent yes, but LBBC made some good points.
