I think compared the NC/Kentucky basketball poll, people are giving Hawaii a better chance to win this game. :lol:

 

I will happily eat my crow if Hawaii gets waxed, I would just love to see another major conference take a hit from another one of the "little guys".

Georgia's apparent home-field advantage at the upcoming Sugar Bowl just grew by 4,000 fans -- thanks to Hawaii.

 

The University of Hawaii decided against taking its full 17,500-ticket allotment for the Jan. 1 game because it was concerned it could not sell them all, so 4,000 tickets were gladly accepted by Georgia.

Flight cost from Travelocity: $1,979 was the cheapest fare I found, and it starts climbing quickly from there. That's for one person, not a family; that one person is flying coach rather than first class. And you'll be departing Honolulu at 11:28 p.m. Hawaii time (5 hours behind the East Coast) on the 28th and arriving at 5:40 p.m. Central time on the 29th. Counting time changes, that's over 14 hours of travel time one way and there's no "hey-we-could-drive-there-and-save-money" option available.

 

UH isn't going to be a good bowl draw on the mainland simply because it costs too much and is too hard for fans to travel here. Obviously, UH will get a lot of fans to Nawlins, but not like what a mainland team would draw.

IMO this is a bad mismatch. Just can't see Hawaii challenging Georgia.

 

Everyone that Hawaii has played couldn't put pressure on Brennan without blitzing, and with his small quick recievers in that offense he could dump it and let them get yardage. Georgia can pressure him with only 3-4 pass rushers. He'll take a beating and spend a lot of time on the ground. Multiple sacks and multiple turnovers.

 

Georgia offense will grind the Hawaii defense, and chew the clock. Hawaii struggled badly against a weak Washington team at home. This should be a Dawg dominated crowd in the dome. Dawgs 35-17

 

I agree...a complete mismatch. Georgia's defense will throttle the high powered Hawaii offense!

This is the game of the bowl season for me really. It's time to see how good Hawaii is against a REAL football team....
