Log Mountain Boy Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 If Ohio St is in the national title game they will be the least deserving time probably ever with a chance to win it. The only team Ohio St has beaten in the top 25 is Wisconsin who hasn't played anyone either.

RockPride Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 ^ Ho hum....you have to go by how they ended unless there are extenuating circumstances, ie....Oregon without Dixon..
LRCW Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 ^ Ho hum....you have to go by how they ended unless there are extenuating circumstances, ie....Oregon without Dixon.. Ok , then you can argue that LSU lost to two non Top 25 teams. They certainly don't deserve to play for the championship then.
Log Mountain Boy Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 ^ Ho hum....you have to go by how they ended unless there are extenuating circumstances, ie....Oregon without Dixon.. This is not a shot at UL. But they were a top 10 team when UK beat them. Now, its not a win that will impress anyone who is picking teams for bowls or what have you.
RockPride Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 ^ Right...and it goes down as a Top ten win on their resume...BUT if I were looking to place them in a bowl, and what level of bowl it should be....it doesn't hold much water now, does it?
RockPride Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Ok , then you can argue that LSU lost to two non Top 25 teams. They certainly don't deserve to play for the championship then. I guess......but their resume is without question 100% better than OSU's....
LRCW Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Did OSU lose to a non Top 25 team? Nope. They lost to the #15 team in the country.
UKBLUE1964 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Nope. They lost to the #15 team in the country. Correction when Illinois beat Ohio State they were unranked. Of all the upsets this year of the #1 and #2 teams LSU, Kansas, Missouri were beaten by ranked teams. Of course the second loss by LSU was by an unranked Arkansas team.

madduxace Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 This Kills me to say because I am Maize and Blue through. To say Osu does not deserve to play for the NC you are mistaken. They are propably not better than USC, LSU, GA, or OKlahoma, but do not blame them for being the only school to win the games they are supposed to. It is not their fault that Usc got beat by Stanford, or LSU got beat by KY or Arkansas, or Oklahoma got beat by Colorado etc. All they have done is win games they are supposed to with the exception of a good Illinois team. ( Which Michigan beat in Champaine w/o Henne or Hart) sorry that is my only cheap shot I can take this year) If everyone else had done the job like they were supposed to do this would not be an issue, but they did not do that so accept it! The Big Ten is better than what you think. Just like last year when they went 2-1 against the almighty SEC in bowl games but all you hear is about is one game.

National Championship! The SEC is the best conference period!
CCH1885 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 OSU fans can be proud that they are the champion of Ohio! Youngstown State Akron Kent State
LRCW Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 USC has only 2 wins against teams with winning records. Why is everybody on their bandwagon?

What kills me is Ohio St plays nobody all year and they are going to get rewarded for beating every team, but the 1 truly dangerous team on their schedule.
