Sore Throat....

Featured Replies

Have you had your Flu shot? I eat Ice Cream because there is nothing that works for me and Momma will run to the store and get me some.

I know this is going to sound soooooooooooooooo gross and it is hard to do but I swear it works.

Take warm salt water, pour some into your hand and snort it through your nose. It will knock your tongue, slap your brains out...but again it works.

:creepy::creepy::creepy:Ugh! I think I'd rather keep a sore throat!:lol:

I've always heard the hot salt water thing as well.

I feel for you man, there is absolutely nothing I hate worse then a sore throat.

I have never failed to get rid of a sore throat in fairly short order with the following home remedy: one jigger of bourbon, 3 tablespoons of honey, one tablespoon of lemon juice, mixed thoroughly, then drink it allowing it to slide down your throat.

Then, to keep your sinuses clean, every day mix two cups of hot (not boiling but not tepid) water with a full tablespoon of table salt, and then take a baby's dropper and snort it up into your sinuses, allowing it to flush out back through your mouth. Do this every morning on a daily basis and you will cure what ails you.

Does a jigger equal a shot? I'll have to try this tonight if my throat still hurts. I broke down last night, took nyquil and asprin. Went to bed and woke up feeling a little better today but my throat still hurts a bit.

I guess I forgot to tell you, he also puts whiskey in the hot tea.

That really does work....my dad used to do that for me as a kid and a teen. I have not done that in a while....need to do it next time I get one...it really does work and works well....the salt water thing never worked for me.
