Jets 19 Steelers 16

Your right you didn't. I shouldn't have quoted you when I said that but there were some that did.

I watched the Denver and Arizona games. I know how this team acts sometimes.

Like SD said, the O-line is not up to snuff from recent years. Going into today, Parker's YPC was 4.1, and he got a whopping 52 yards on 21 carries. Ben was sacked seven times. Like a lot of other NFL teams, Pittsburgh is pretty good at home, shaky on the road. The national media anointed them too soon; they obviously haven't seen the Steeler kick/punt coverage.

I think what this really shows is how much better New England is than the rest of the league. One might be inclined to say Green Bay or Dallas deserves that nod. Is it fair to say that if New England wins at Buffalo by 21 points or more, they would also do the same to Dallas, since the Starboys struggled so mightily at Buffalo?

I was telling a guy at the bar that the only team I see giving NE trouble the rest of the way is if they face a red-hot Favre in the Super Bowl; then all bets are off. I'm still not totally sold that GB could win a playoff game at Dallas, so that NFL Network game a week from Thanksgiving at Texas Stadium figures to be pretty critical in determining who goes to the Super Bowl out of the NFC.

My remark or the Bengals effort?

Both. Taking shots at a team that had won 3 games is comical. Does it make you feel better after that bad bad loss?

Still think the Steelers are better than the Cowboys, JS? ;) :bunny:

No, it makes me feel better to hack on the Bengals when Bengal fans come in the Steeler game thread and hack on them. So, I suppose that does make me feel better.

I recall Bengals fans all but declaring last year open season on the Steelers, so you'll forgive me if I'm less than sympathetic.

I think we would win in Pittsburgh, and you guys would win at Dallas. God knows what would happen if they met in the SB.

Yeah it did actually. :ylsuper:

Bad loss to a bad footbal team

Okay!

I was just calling out those that though this was a team up in the NE range thats all and there were a few that did. I didn't mean you when I quoted you.

Honestly, I think the Cowboys would win in all three situations, JMO.

Who's done that in here?

I still think the Steelers can beat NE. Someones going to IMO, why not them?

I really don't think anyone is gonna beat them.

Kick Coverage and O-Line.......In my opinion all three of the Steeler losses come back to these two phases of the game.

Collingsworth was just eating this up on TV and called the Steelers a fraud. This was a terrible loss.

I know stats dont show it because they have been in the top 5 in rushing all season. But this is not the same dominant running game we've had in the past.

Fair's fair. Any Steeler fans who couldn't see these warts and talked excessively about the Steelers perhaps knocking off NE needed this blow to snap them back to reality. I knew they were living on borrowed time and was concerned the challenges weren't there leading up to the New England game, and they would get shell-shocked by the smackdown that awaited them in Foxborough. At least now they know they have a lot more work to do. Ideally the Colts continue to struggle and drop a couple more so the Steelers can get a bye week and a home playoff game.
