I would hate to see another Republican President in office. I was watching the Democratic Debate on CNN last night and I will say that Neither Hillary or Obama impressed me. Looks like their both falling. I was impressed with The others Dodd,Richardson, and the smaller guy (who doesn't get to talk much) Don't even know his name. Edwards did ok as well, but the two frontrunners are looking worse and worse to me.

I travel around the country, and I believe we will have another Republican, especially with Clinton or Obama as the Dem nominee. I believe male voters will turn out in record numbers to vote against Clinton. And I believe white southern Democrats will turn out in force in to vote against Obama. Not disclosing my personal feelings here, only reporting what I observe.

 

very true but aren't New York, Ohio, PA, CA, etc the swing states since we have an electoral college. Dems dont get those southern states anyways. Since the north is traditionally seen as the "free states", I wouldnt see as big of a problem for Obama.

 

Hill could have a problem since she's an outspoken female. Some will say, I won't vote for a woman. Others say, I would vote for a woman but not a "no it all or stuck up" woman. In either case, she's darned if she does and darned if she don't.

My best guess is that Mrs. Clinton turns it into a close election. I am certain that I will vote for her if she is the nominee, but I would prefer another candidate. For me, the most important thing after the past seven years is that we not have another four years of a Republican. It will take MANY years for the country to recover fron the Bush presidency. I haven't made up my mind about the candidate I would prefer, but given Kentucky's lack of influence in the nominating process I'll just have to live with the niminee I get.

I don't think Hillary could defeat Republican Herbert Hoover if he were in his prime right now.

She should be easy pickings for almost any Republican nominee.

If the Republican National Committee were wise they would actually (and secretly) donate to the Clinton campaign fund.
