Lone Oak quarterback Corey Robinson threw seven touchdown passes tonight. He now has a total of 74 this season, three behind the national record.

I thought Corey threw for 6 td's, I think on one the ball was fumbled and picked up by another player and ran in for a td. Does that still count as a passing td? Corey probably set his career individual passing yards game tonight; at least 500 yards. He also ran a td in as well.

As the announcer was signing off, he said the official scorekeeper had ruled it a touchdown pass, giving him seven for the evening. I guess we'll wait and see what the Paducah Sun box score states.

I believe the Sun recorded 6 TD's for Corey. The one he ran into the endzone was a great play. The young man can move. The officiating was terrible.

 

Corey certainly has the ability to toss 5 TD's next week, but the Calloway defense will make him earn it. They shut out a very good Hopkins Central offense.

There seems to be a dispute whether he had six or seven touchdown passes. The official scorer claims seven. I'm sure we'll hear more about this in the local press this week concerning a better explanation.

Robinson did play into the 4th quarter. The 2nd string played the last series. Those are the facts. It's also true that this young man has a chance to do something phenomenal, and leaving him in the game is not the horrible sin many suggest. His family, friends, school and community want to see him and the rest of the starters perform.

 

To those who complain that LO "ran up the score" check out the number of 50 point drubbings that took place in the 1st round. I guess Robinson should have been pulled out of all this seasons games, but for Calloway, at halftime. Even at that, folks would still find a reason to slam Lone Oak

It was a fumble, so at that point passing & receiving yards stop. Travis Hickman is credited with a 21 yard fumble recovery. If the ball was a lateral than Corey would be credited with a passing td & Travis would be credited with 21 yds receiving & no catch. There was not contiuation on the play.

Corey should now have 73 Tds & will need 5 to break the national record against Calloway Co.
