Crittenden County is not a bad team...they have had some bad luck this year with defections and injuries...that can happen to any team and to say that they are a bad team is absolutely absurd. Granted they have not had their best year...but any Class A team that has injuries and defections of a player they were going to rely heavily on would hurt any team.

 

Also take a look at the teams that beat Crittenden this year...some pretty good teams there.

How so?

11 Penalties and 4 fumbles that cost them points.. Had the ball 1st and goal inside the 5 and 2 penalties caused them to have to settle for a FG, 4 pts lost.. Had the ball 2 other times inside the 20 where they either fumbled or was stopped by penalties. If they score on either of the 2, more points lost. Also, Caldwell scored there TD late in the game when the game was well in hand. Plus, based on statistics alone, it was very lopsided... It could have, imo, easily been 32 to 39-6...

I was and he is right, Mayfield tanked at least twice in the redzone, and rump was in a great position to make a pass interception that would have been a TD, I highly doubt that pass will be dropped by him next year. Mayfield couldn't have gotten away with a whole lot, 11 penalties to CC's 3.

You guys are seeing things through red-colored glasses ... Mayfield was in control of the game, but it wasn't like the Cardinals were moving the ball at will.

Mayfield converted a fourth down on a play in which the right tackle clearly moved .. Caldwell's defense was screaming for a penalty, but the officiating crew missed it. At that point, Mayfield would've kicked a field goal, and that was a drive that ended in a touchdown pass to McCuiston.

Im just glad to see Mayfield get a good game under their belt before the post-season starts. Our confidence is on the rise and we're getting some guys healthy, which is exactly what we needed. How about Logan Armstrong??? Offense only???? Both ways??? Anyone know his status????
