Sam Robey to the Florida Gators? (Take #2)

Featured Replies

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Robey made an unofficial visits to Gainesville with his parents this weekend and I caught up with him tonight while he was in the Charlotte airport.

"It was great," said Robey, the son of former University of Kentucky All-American basketball player Rick Robey. "It's a beautiful campus and I had a chance to meet all of the players and tour the campus. It was really nice."

Robey said the Gators' staff didn't extend an offer but said they were very interested and he was told they would be in contact and likely make a trip to Louisville soon.

Jody Demling's blog for the rest of the story

Did you know..... Sam's father was very interested in Florida but his parents steered him away from the "fun in the sun".

If Sam does not play basketball this winter at Trinity, that will indicate Florida or Tennessee to me. I understand Sam plans to powerlift in place of basketball.

Here's to Sam winning another football title before leaving Rock Heaven.

My money is on the Cats or Cards!

Am I the only one that started reading this and said "I wonder why Guru was in Charlotte?"
