^So Clark County, at 3-7, and losing to this same team 7 weeks ago should be the favorite in Richmond?

Not saying that they should be a favorite at all. I am saying that GRC is much improved from the meeting in week 5, and that they should not be overlooked. No one should be writing Madison Central into the District Final before this game is even played.

Mad. Cent is a tough and talented team. There is no disputing this point. But no one should be basing the results of 7 weeks ago to what will happen in this game. The winner will move on, the loser hangs up the cleats. GRC has to show their true potential and determination to win this game.

I like GRC in this one. It seems like Madison Central has kind of packed it in for the second straight year.

GRC is the better team? Really? I thought these two played in week 5 and MC won by 3 TDs? I also didn't think there were any distractions for Clark County in that game?

I don't think there is much that seperates these two from a physical standpoint....however, coaching and the Indians overwhelming recent success against the Cards are a huge mental advantage....

Bear, here's a hypothetical question for you, if two of the best players on MC, lets say hope, and ricky, stay at home and two players for GRC, how about, Conner's and Clark, they both stay at home, now which team would have to make the biggest adjustment in order to win the game friday.;)

^Considering Chaz splits time at QB, and the running backs share the workload, I think they'd be okay. Remember, Kenny Turner has NEVER been a coach to rely too much on one player, even when Paul Warford was here he rarely got more than 12-15 touches a game.

I get that GRC was without some of it's horses the first game, but arguably MC's best player (Keyshawn Simpson) was coming off injury and played very little in that game too.....

MC has lost 4 of 5...however, those losses were Scott County, Dunbar, Highlands, and Boone County....all teams that would (or have) beat GRC this year with maybe the exception of Dunbar. The four teams that beat the Indians were all very physical, and very smash mouth.....things that GRC is not.

As for this being a big rivalry, GRC hasn't held up their end of the bargain. Madison Central has lost one time to the cards since the mid 90's.[/quote]

 You are so funny sometimes. Our biggest rival, and they will agree we are theirs too , is Montgomery Co. They beat us this year and it was the first time in many, many years...that is one reason we are such rivals...beating us makes their season...not my words, just ask their fans.

Yes we have dominated in our wins over them, but that only made their win this year so much sweeter.

If the Cards do beat Madison Central in the playoffs...it will be so much sweeter, because of the earlier season loss and they have dominated over us for several years

It is playoff time...start of a new season for many.:thumb:

Seems to me I saw a little ol' game in Lincoln County last year where a team that had beaten GRC earlier in the year went down in a very good overtime game!

Might be one of the top 2 or 3 first-round games this year.

Too bad that we can't have some warmer weather. Looks like it will be a cold one in Richmond.

I agree...also hope that Madison Central has that sewer problem fixed...it was terrible when we played there this year.

I agree... GRC has had a great week of practice and will be ready for this game.

Maybe the rain we are getting now will help to keep the smell down over on our side.

Looks like the rain will stop, but it will get cold after the sun goes down. Hope each team is safe! Going to be a great game!

GO CARDS!!!!!!!

The odor problem on the far end of the school has been something embarrassing for the school for years, but the Homecoming game with GRC this season was as bad as I have ever seen (actually smelled) it. There is nothing the school can do about it, there is a sewage treatment plant down below the baseball field that is running well over it's designed capacity.

I hope the Indians take care of business tonight.
