Griffey to the Yankees, Griffey to the White Sox, Griffey to the Cubs, Griffey to the Orioles, Griffy now to the Braves..... who's next?

There might be a bigger market for Griffey in the middle of next season, if the Reds aren't in the pennant race and a contending team needs an outfielder.

 

Knowing Dusty Baker's tendency to favor veteran players, I suspect he will weigh in against trading Griffey unless a team makes a pretty substantial offer.

 

As soon as the first few games of the season are blown by the bull pen, He will say, "GET ME SOME PITCHERS, no matter if you trade Griffey. I will get over that."

The Griffey to Atlanta idea is that of AJC columnist, Terrance Moore. However, Moore is probably a little behind the times because he wants Griffey to play centerfield. If Griffey can't handle centerfield in GAB, he sure can't handle it in Turner Field. If he tried to make one of Andy's patented diving catches, he would go on the disabled list for two years.

 

Still, the Reds need Clint Sammons to solidify their catching for the next ten years or so.
