Russell 35 Raceland 14

Featured Replies

Congrats to the RED DEVILS. Great atmosphere for Friday night football.

Glad to see #38 Bailey get it together and have a very good game. Much deserved MVP. Russell controlled the game but came out sluggish and had a wake up call when The 1st half Russell did not have the ball much but when they did they made there presence known. Raceland keyed on #13 all night but found out that Russell has more than one weapon.

You could see that the big Russell O-Line & D-fence lines was wearing on the Rams. And the second half it showed cause Raceland was moving E-W instead of N-S. Russell made the adjustments and took control.

Raceland will be fine. Russell played well & deserved to win. I'd put these two coaching staffs up against anyone in Kentucky. Any staff would be hard-pressed to match wits with these guys.

If anyone is overlooking Russell in 3A, they'll be going home early. And I'm sure the Rams would like nothing better than to Get the Eagles twice in one season, & then get another shot at LCA with all of their starters healthy.

:thumb::thumb: Very good post TCA, I agree on all points made.

Good Luck to Russell the rest of the way out and...............

Rams lets get ready for West Carter and to build some momentum for a playoff run. :ylsuper:

They was not keying on number 13 I can tell you that. The Big plays is what killed us. That Bailey kid is Russell's Number one back bar none. Also mikey Dillon really looked good too. Made some good plays. And this is coming for a Raceland fan. Also, In my post any were have you seen me bash Russell. I call it like I seen it. A good team also makes them good plays.:thumb:

2 of Raceland's interceptions came in the fourth quarter when they were down three TDs and had to try to make something happen. Penalties were about even. Russell also turned the ball over in Raceland territory in the first half.

Way to bounce back David Bailey.

Russell's number one back has differed from game to game this year. Bailey had the big game last night. Abrams and Bates both ran hard and came up with big plays. You really can't key on any one guy.

Congrads to the Russell Red Devils. I have looked at all the posts and I too think penalities has hurt us most of the season. The tackling worries me to death. This includes all teams. I have now seen 7 to 8 games where our seniors from the area last year have went to two or three different colleges and they just wont wrap up and tackle. I call it tip toe through the tulips. Bugs me to death. I also was down close enough where to often the boys give up another thing you cant do. This is not a coaching problem that is what is in that young mans heart. It isn't over until it's over. Russell did an excellent job hammering in the third and fourth. Carver for Raceland did excellent not losing faith. I have to go with the sportmanship on both sides a Russell lady offered to go get me a cup of coffee so thank you for your kindness. Ok, I am done preaching great game on both sides.

I gave facts to back up what was said. Penalties were about even and all three of Racelands interceptions came in the second half. Was it because Raceland fell apart or Russell adjusted accordingly? I have no idea but there are the stats to back up the comment that was made.

Good. I'm glad your thinking logically and agree with my post that HitCatchThrow was commenting about.:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::banana::banana::banana::banana::D:D:D:D;):p:rolleyes:

No one from Raceland that I have read was complainig that the penalties were one sided or that Raceland had recieved bad calls.

All comments that I saw were made in reference to the fact that Raceland's penalties hurt them (especially the same ones over and over) and stopped several drives. No complaining about the calls here.

I don't know if that was what anyone was trying to get at or not by some of the post/comments.
