You think that would happen if they legalized weed?

 

Should it be the States right to Legalize pot or the US government????

 

What about the medical use for the stuff...What do you think about it????

And if you make the same broad categorization of me, I would say you guys think EVERYTHING should be legal and adults should make all of their own decisions, irregardless of the fall out to society.

 

I do not think it should be the business of government to make negative things easier for people to do.

 

I think government should be about building people up and helping them while not providing them or making access to the means easier to tear themselves down.

 

Here's the thing...

 

You are against open enrollmen, thinking that where one lives should dictate where one goes to school (ownership of a child, if you will), you are against casinos in Kentucky (regardless of how much revenue it could generate for the Commonwealth that we both love), and you are against the legalization of marijuana.......I am not sure if you stated this before, but I would venture that you are against alcohol, or would step up and voice favor if someone were to oppose it being legal. I am not for making everything legal, or illegal. I just tend to give human beings AS A WHOLE, more benefit of the doubt. A glass half full, if you will.

While I would like for the states to tackle these issues individually, something like marijuana would cause major problems in broder wars, etcetera. This one would have to be Federal, IMO.

It wouldn't change anything in that aspect imo if they legalized it. Possibly even cut down on the alcohol related deaths...

 

It has to be a national government issue, leaving it up to the states would cause way too many problems.

 

I'm all for the medicinal use of it. Doctors and hospitals use drugs twenty times worse everyday for peoples problems than marijuana.

Your first statement could be used as a reason why Prohibition SHOULD NOT have been overturned. I don't think people were losing their lives in the 20's at such a rate because of alcohol. Legalizing alcohol obviously DID NOT WORK in saving lives. Thanks for making that point.:thumb:

Where have I said I am against open enrollment? I am for it and in my proposal had open enrollment schools competing against open enrollment schools. I am for the voucher system and think the tax dollars spent on education should be given to the parents for the parents to decide where it is spent.

 

I am against casinos for the same reason why I am against marijuna. It makes it easy for failure in people's lives and think government should be about helping people have positives in their lives instead of setting up scenarios that prey on people's weaknesses.

I am not sure that is accurate except the Hollywood version of it. I have not seen much about life during Prohibition except in Chicago and Al Capone. Listen to Hollywood and it was all about Al Capone in the 20's.
