UKMustangFan
Notre Dame football is held to a higher standard therefore they are not screwing themselves, they are doing what college is there for - educating young people. Notre Dame athletes are still STUDENT-athletes - unlike any other D-1 school in the nation aside from the Service Academies. Completely 100% false. Only 1 (Penn State) every makes any noise in the BCS Name me some more BCS schools that you really have student-athletes
UKMustangFan
I don't need to. You just proved my point. You said ND was the only one, and that's just not the case.
pigman
So by redshirting a kid which would give him a year to adjust to college life all the way around. Not having to travel with team more study time just a little extra help that is allowed. Higher standard or screwing yourself I guess is in the eye of the beholder. futurecoach
But my point is Ty's guys or Charlie's guys ND should not be this bad!!! Even if ND had to play every game with just Charlie's Frosh, Sophs, and whatever Juniors were signed in the transition year they should be able to score a TD!! Other "elite" programs go thru coaching changes all the time and may have losing seasons, but they are at least semi-respectable losses and they can at least score at some point. See post #19, actually everyone see post #19 if you want to know why ND is so bad this year...
