September 6, 200719 yr Bengals vs. Ravens to kick off Monday night football. What a great way to start the season. Important game for the Bengals? Any thoughts on who wins and why?

September 6, 200719 yr I'm in believe what I see mode at this point. The Ravens have a lot of their own problems right now so who knows... I'm honestly with the Bengals on this one. I think having a preseason like this was a plus for them. Hopefully it made them realize that they have some serious work to do. I really think that Kenny Irons getting hurt in the 1st preseason game determined how this preseason would go. Marvin didn't want to take too many chances. My take on this game: Bengals: 34 Ravens: 31

September 6, 200719 yr Absolutely zero chance that many points are scored on the Ravens D.... The aging Ravens D??? I don't think they are going to be that great this year, just going on a hunch. I think the first one to 30 wins.

September 6, 200719 yr When this team shows me they are even average on 3rd down and in the red zone on both sides of the ball I'm with you. It was there in 05 and gone in 06... Then we see eye to eye on this. It still has to be proven, and this is the best time to do it, in the main event (Monday Night).
September 6, 200719 yr I just hope Palmer and Tab Perry can get their chemistry down, becaus they was way off in the preseason. Because if they can I think Tab can do a good job filling in as the 3rd receiver for us until Henry is back. Which would be a very important thing to us, because we need someone to step up since teams will be keying on TJ and Chad....

Which would be a very important thing to us, because we need someone to step up since teams will be keying on TJ and Chad.... The trick is Tab is a very similar player to TJ. They have to find a way for both to do what plays to their strengths in the same route progression. Expecting Tab to fill the Slim 15 void just isn't going to happen...
September 6, 200719 yr The aging Ravens D??? I don't think they are going to be that great this year, just going on a hunch. I think the first one to 30 wins. They are getting older, but that doesn't mean they'll go from a great D to one that gives up 30 points a game. I've also yet to see anything from the Bengals offense (I know, preseason doesn't matter), that leads me to believe they'd put up 30 points on anyone at this point.
September 6, 200719 yr If the Bengals can get to 24 I say they win but I don't think that will happen.
