September 5, 200719 yr Lynch will be the guy at some point...early on Thomas will probably split some carries with him, but at some point, Lynch will be getting the majority. I expect him to give some pretty solid production in the last half of the season at the least...he could/should be a stud in the NFL, but like most rookies, he'll probably have some ups and downs in his first year, along with an adjustment period early on. At 5'11" and 217 pounds, he's got good size, game-breaking speed, ankle-breaking moves and he can catch...I don't understand why anyone wouldn't expect him to be good. He averaged over 6 yards per carry for his career at Cal... :thumb:

He's going to be real good, but he's in a horrible situation in Buffalo, and he's a rookie. Like it or not, rookie RB's almost NEVER do anything their first years. Reggie Bush struggled mightily running the ball last year, and NO line is much better than the fat guys that the Bills have.

Like it or not, rookie RB's almost NEVER do anything their first years. Reggie Bush struggled mightily running the ball last year, and NO line is much better than the fat guys that the Bills have. Bush had a bad ankle for about half the season. Plus, Deuce was their main running option, so Bush wasn't getting the ball fed to him so it probably took him longer to adjust and find his groove. Lynch will get way more carries than Bush...and the situation in Buffalo (particularly on offense) is not as bad as you make it sound. They upgraded the O-line with two free agent signings (RT Langston Walker and LG Derrick Dockery) and they have one of the best left tackles in football (Jason Peters)...they have a legit #1 big play receiver in Lee Evans and an emerging QB...Losman's completion percentage was up to 62.5%, he threw 12 TD passes in the last 8 games which was tied for fourth best during that time span, and only Drew Brees, Carson Palmer and Donovan McNabb had more completions of more than 40 yards last year...there is plenty to like on the offensive side for Buffalo. The defense is questionable.
September 6, 200719 yr I'd really like to know what your point system is. But to be completely honest...your ten team league has a better team overall than your eight team league especially if it's default scoring and lineup or something very near to it.

But to be completely honest...your ten team league has a better team overall than your eight team league especially if it's default scoring and lineup or something very near to it. The 8 team league is with better fantasy players, so that's expected. The 10-team league is one a friend of mine started on Yahoo and I joined for fun. Some of the people just try to get players they like...you know the deal, so I ended up getting Steven Jackson with the 5th pick. That should tell you about all you need to know. However, I promptly traded him, which should tell you how much I care about winning it.
September 6, 200719 yr Author I traded Steven Jackson, Jason Witten, Brett Favre and Santonio Holmes for Reggie Bush, J. P. Losman, Kellen Winslow and Santana Moss...
September 11, 200719 yr Author And that's why he was so easy for me to pick up off the waiver wire. What about Lynch gives you hope? Was it his 1.1 YPC in the preseason? How about 19 carries, 90 yards and an impressive 24 yard TD run against a pretty good defense? Imagine that...guys playing better once the games actually mean something.
September 11, 200719 yr I traded Steven Jackson, Jason Witten, Brett Favre and Santonio Holmes for Reggie Bush, J. P. Losman, Kellen Winslow and Santana Moss... I would take out a warrant for whoever held the gun to your head to make you do that...:fire:
September 11, 200719 yr Author I would take out a warrant for whoever held the gun to your head to make you do that...:fire: Nobody made me, I just wanted Reggie Bush. I had him in my "real" league, which is the fantasy league that I take the most serious, so I just wanted to get him in the other one too. It's not a big deal...the trade wasn't that lopsided, and actually, going by Yahoo's projected points it made my lineup stronger. I think I got the more productive fantasy player at the other 3 positions...of course, with Glenn being out, Witten might jump back ahead of Winslow. But, Moss and Winslow should be better than Holmes and Witten. I like Losman better than Favre, but that doesn't amount to much because neither will play much...I expect Bush to exceed most expectations this year. I could be wrong, but we'll see soon enough. If it had been my main fantasy league, it's not likely I'd have ever pursued the trade, but as it is, I did and I'm perfectly content with my decision. :thumb:

September 11, 200719 yr I ended up with: - Tom Brady QB - Frank Gore RB - Donald Driver WR - Randy Moss WR - Reggie Bush R/W - Baltimore Ravens DEF - Jeremy Shockey TE - Nedney PK I won my week 1 game. Just picked up the Titans RB and dropped the Broncos RB on my bench.
September 11, 200719 yr Author I wouldn't let Jackson go for Bush under any circumstances is why I posted what I did... Ahh, I didn't care...obviously. I wouldn't have if I'd been totally serious about winning the league, but the trade wasn't that bad. I just typically don't trade top 3 or 4 sure thing RB's... ...I've just got a feeling Bush is gonna be special and I'm willing to take the chance that he will be. How about this trade in my BGP Expansion League? Larry Johnson, Santana Moss and Denver Broncos Defense for Reggie Bush, Calvin Johnson and Baltimore Ravens Defense I made that trade, too...and yes, I got Bush in that one as well. :scared:

He will be on my bench in week 2 and will likely be dropped soon. The only way you can get anything out of him is if he produces a big play during his 10-15 touches - which isn't going to happen a whole lot in the NFL.
