To say the least, yeah.

 

Pikeville is good, but I just don't know if they are good enough to compete with one of the top teams in 4A. We shall see...

One thing is for sure... those mid-seaosn matchups with LexCath and Belfry will definately make Pikeville tougher as those two teams are evry good, but in different ways.

 

LC will spread the field and stretch the dfreense with the pass and speed... Belfry will hurt you with power running and beat you with fundamentals.

Yeah, the LC style I think could really hurt Pikeville. In 1A and in Eastern KY in general you don't see a whole lot of the prolific passing offenses, especially not with the size, speed and talent of a team like Lex Cath.

 

Belfry should be a pretty good matchup for Pikeville, both with similiar styles. Should be fun to see if Pikeville can step up and end the losing streak to the Pirates.

Ashland scored a little while ago bringing the game a little closer but Pikeville answers with a 60 yard TD run from Tim Honaker. Personal foul against Ashland on the play after the score. Tim Honaker is having an absolutely huge game, 3 rushing TD's 1 passing TD. 6:19 left in the game.

May be even more interestng to see if they can end the shutout streak by Belfry's D... I don't think anyone will come close to scoring on their varsity D til the Pikeville game... the Belfry vs. Pikeville game should definately put the intensity back into the rivalry this year.
