Ram,

That is PRICELESS!!!

Nice one.

About this game I believe Manual will win, but it will be interesting to see how much both teams improve with a couple of weeks of school behind them and practice becoming more regular.

An interesting nugget I probably could have used in the notebook. Christian County only had worked on four running plays and two passing plays before their game with Tilghman because of the late start and limited practice time. I know of at least twice where Steve Lovelace called a timeout and it looked like he was diagramming pass plays in the dirt in the middle of the huddle. They both worked too.

Lovelace got that from Craig Clayton. It was common for Clayton/Hoptown to shoot from the hip and draw some sandlot stuff up.

If Offensive Coordinator John Adams (CC) gets his way he will stick with Bauer at QB. But Lovelace still wants McDuffin to play. Bauer is the better passer and a QB that will scramble to keep the chains moving. McDuffin is the better athlete and they say has the stronger arm but all the QB camps they went to over the summer Bauer graded out higher.

Christian Co. hasn't ran a lot of stuff as they simplified things after Calloway Co. beat them in their first scrimmage. Against PT they ran the "Far/Near" look (Coach Lovelaces favorite offense). With McDuffin at QB they want to run some of the 2-man game that Hopkinsville ran in 2002 with Curtis Pulley. But with Bauer at QB they can do more right now in the passing game and County as some athletes on the outside that can make plays.

Defensively against PT Christian Co. couldn't stop the counter. Lovelace is concerned about his rush defense and PT out flanked CC a few times last week but Paducah for some reason couldn't capitalize on those opportunities.

Christian Co. does have some health issues this week though:

OL/ Phillip Davis will not play

OL/ Mark Payne is a game time decision

WR/DB Neal Carner is a game time decision

QB/DB Malcolm McDuffin injured his leg but is expected to play but might not get any snaps at QB.

Christian Co. has some speed but Manuel has more speed than them.
