^ That's sort of a loaded question....I feel you know what I think, and we'll leave it at that.

If I knew, I wouldn't ask? What is your meaning?

I liked Wilkerson a lot and think he will be a great player. He and little Petrino had Margaret Mary formed quite a talented backfield.

Wilkerson is awsome, he scores the TD & Kicks the Extra Point then he ask you what else do you want me to do? Great attitude

For the last couple of years Henry Clay has been as good anyone except for Trinity. Henry Clay seems to have problems when a team can throw the ball on them a little bit but if they can bunch up in the box and only have to worrie about giving up 17-21pts or so and with Henry Clay's explosive offense they can play or beat anyone.

You bring up some good points. If our receivers had held on to the ball Friday night, it would have forced the Blue Devils to lay back more on defense thus opening more running lanes. The results achieved by Trinity's outstanding passing attack against Henry Clay over the past few years seems to substantiate your opinion. Lafayette's offense has also had their way with Henry Clay the past two years.

I did not mis-lead in my post. Deuce is still a little behind there is no denying that...he will be just fine, but he is slightly behind pace.

It seems like most of the St. X starters are a little banged up and Deuce is no exception. As everyone knows, Coach Glaser does not like to show a lot during these types of scrimmages and play calling is limited. Combine the two situations and I can see how some fans may be concerned with the offense, but I know that the coaches are not. With a little time the players will heal, the offense will improve, and St. X will be St. X.

Considering all, not a bad outing against the No.3 6A team on their turf for this "preseason" team. Lots of work to do.... And thats a good thing...

I understand the apologist point of view. I find it comedic to doubt what I have been TOLD. X has a ton of work to do. They WILL get it done, but thie HAS been a disappointing pre-season.

I haven't got to see St. X this year so I can't say if its dissapointing or not. But from the outside looking just from scrimmage play it looks like Male may be the team who struggles this year after what happend to them from Highlands.

My uncle's wife's sister's second cousin told me something also, but I'm not sure that I can verify the veracity of that distant relationship.

^ Cool...nice...my reputation is untarnished in this forum...doubt, look at me in jest. Who may have the last laugh?

I will say this and it should sum it up for all concerned. Look at 05 and tell me that any of this preseason has that much meaning. Trinity looks good so far but that means nothing at this point just as it means nothing that X looks to most as just ok. I will say that baring injuries we will see an X,T final in 6A this year. After that flip a coin 05 taught us all that fact.

It will be a Trinity/St. X final at 7:30PM on December 8. If a snowstorm or frigid temperatures are conjured up, then this game may be won on a flip of a coin. I hope all the Tiger injuries are healed by late September.:D

That's a bold statement about 12/8 game. X has to worry about the District 1,3 & 4. T has to worry about Districts 6,7 & 8.

Oh, I forgot to ask, did Henry Clay give X any more that one 4 foot bench to seat? Last year the Rocks only got 1 small bench while Henry Clay's side was full on benches.

Somebody help me out here: Isn't this a St. X / Henry Clay Scrimmage Thread? ;)

Yeah, that's what I thought too! :thumb:
