BGP Expansion League - Draft Round Twelve

Featured Replies

People are thinking we are finished which really makes no sense. At this point all your really doing is picking mop up players, well most of us. You would think it would go faster. Oh well...

Ah well, what can we do..

I will be going out-of-town this afternoon and won't be able to check in again until late tomorrow. I'll check before we leave around noon or so God willing, but if I'm not up then, it'll be later on Sunday...

So are we all still supremely confident in getting this done on time? The last round and a half have taken something like 8-9 days.

I still hope we can. It's a good thing we started off making a lot of picks because these later rounds are less popular and people don't check the rounds when they log on. And now Goherd is gone for the day. I mean really why not leave your pick with someone to make it go quicker?

We should finish on the week of the 4th preseason game I am thinking.

This has been a disaster...we really need to pick up the pace. One pick per day just doesn't cut it. I definitely don't want to hear how I'm slowing the draft down anymore...hopefully, we'll get to my pick by Friday, August 24.

 ...It wouldn't be Friday anyway, at the latest it would be Thursday is no one picked and everyone's time expired! :p

I think if it's a pick or two away from your turn and you think there may be a chance you won't be here to make it then instead of prolonging the draft just leave 2 or 3 picks with someone who can make the pick for you!

We are just clearly gonna have to move the draft time up to 12 hours. This has been a great learning experience for everyone. Now people know you really have to decidate yourself for these kinda drafts.

We are still on pace to finish without that relax fellas. The weekends are always slow.

As I pointed out, it's not really the weekend only this time. This round began on the 14th which was Tuesday. We only made 9 picks in the 4 weekdays, or 2.25 picks a day. At that rate, it would take 31 more days to finish the draft. That's on the heels of what was our slowest round yet, and this one will break that today rather easily.

Yeah we shouldn't be too relaxed about this draft, that's why a lot of people aren't checking everyday and that's why our pace is slowed down a lot.
