gold sunrise
What does Grant Co. need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
sportsmaniac
A lot of good young players on the braves this year. I think they could suprise some teams late in the year.
Tiger1
A lot of good young players on the braves this year. I think they could suprise some teams late in the year. I would agree with you that Grant County will be better than last year and will make the 8th region tournament as the 32nd district runner-up to SK. Same as in recent history - 6-8 wins against Class A schools with a win or two over others.
steelcurtain
Same as in recent history - 6-8 wins against Class A schools with a win or two over others. Looks like several Class A schools owned them last year, are they gonna be any better?
sportsmaniac
What do you think the problem is at Grant? Kinmon seems like a good guy and has won in the past?
Souper
What do you think the problem is at Grant? Kinmon seems like a good guy and has won in the past? Gee, 4-39 against non class A schools in the past 3 years!
sportsmaniac
Definately have had recent problems, but were far more successful than that in previous years.
EthanKings#1fan
You would think Grant would have more success than they do, fairly decent sized county but for some reason they don't get it done. Is Kinmon at the end of his rope? I believe there was an article in the Grant newspaper calling his coaching ability out and giving ideals how to get the program going. Time and Score
I would agree with you that Grant County will be better than last year and will make the 8th region tournament as the 32nd district runner-up to SK. Being the 32nd district runner-up might not mean they are better than last year. That only guarantees two additional games.
#10 Rules
Ron Kinmon is a class act! Great coach, they have some talent coming, every team goes through some hard times, administration is also suspect. Their young kids have a lot of talent coming up, Walton and Grant will be awesome to see this year, Walton will surprise some teams this year, remember they played Oldham well last year, and they have one of the better guards in the region in Ponsor, saw him score 20 straight points this summer! Simon is the obvious choice, the next couple years could be tough for them as well!
Souper
Definately have had recent problems, but were far more successful than that in previous years. You're right. 20-32 the previous three years.
sportsmaniac
How many years did you go back this time? How many of those losses were to Shelby, Oldham, Scott County, and Lexington Catholic. Not many teams in the state beat them. At least he scheduled them and tried to play the best. I bet atleast 1/3 of those losses were to those 4 schools. Just saw were you said the previous 3 years. 15 of the 32 losses were to those 4 schools.
hopper24
Have watched the coach since SK was placed in there district and not impressed too much, how long has he been there? Might want to think about making the schedule a little lighter. Getting blown out by 30 or 40 doesn't do much for the program.
sportsmaniac
When have they been beat by that much? Probably did over schedule though. When i looked at their history, played some real tough teams.
