gold sunrise
What does Corbin need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
Deuce41
Corbin will be strong again this season and should compete for the region title but they will need to find a repalcement for departed Josh Hamblin who really did a great job running the point. They have some great talant led by Crawford who may be the best player in the region.

I heard that the Wilson kid was a little up and down this summer, but I look for someone else to step up...Josh Crawford will be a beast next year and playing on a healthy knee, look out... Bubba Wilson
I look for the Hounds to be very solid this season. I agree with the Ramblinman when he says the point guard spot will be the question mark for the degree of success the team achieves. Hamlin was a solid player and a good leader. He often passed up shots to get the ball to Crawford and others who were more efficent offensively than he was. Wilson and Lee Crawford should be an intense battle for the point position. Both players bring different strengths to the job. If the attitudes and egos are the same as last year then the Hounds will battle for a trip to Rupp. Apex is correct in his assessment as well. Lots of intangibles come into play, but the talent is there. Now let's hope Coach P can pull the right strings and the boys are willing to pay the price to be the best they can be. I know as a fan the losses to South Laurel have left a bad taste in my mouth for many months. Maybe the Hounds can bond and give all they have for Corbin basketball this season. Ms Liberty
Should be a team to deal with in the 13th.
Johnboy
How about Josh Crawford at the point with Barley, Smith, Johnson, & Manns. They could bring wilson & the other Crawford off the bench along with Cashen, Rogers, Craig & maybe the kid rumored to be moving in.

Crawford to start. Manns, L.Crawford, Cashen, Craig, Rogers, and a Freshman or two off of the bench. Any transfers are simply a rumor at this point. There are a couple of transfers who are freshmen to be players but none that will see any varsity time any time soon.

It must be a good problem to have enough talented players to be discussin the rotation in July.....:dancingpa

Do you see any of these getting playing time on the Varsity?
Bubba Wilson
Cashen, Watkins and Madon would all be strong players to figure in the rotation somewhere if all decide to play. Watkins was one of the best JV players towards the end of the season IMO. His on the ball defense could be a big assett against teams with physical guards. Of course none of these players were with the team during the summer so it is hard to know where they will fit in on the learning curve once the season rolls around. Thanks Bubba, Cashen will probably will have a spot if he wants it on varsity, Id say that Watkins will play JV ball and Madon would have to play Varsity because of his age/ grade but with the younger, more skilled players needing a spot it will be tough for Madon to play. Coach P will have a deeper bench this season than he has had before and will have his hands full trying to get enough minutes for everyone but competition for spots is a great problem to have. ballaholic
How is Josh Crawford progressing since his surgery? Will the kid who moved in from Elizabethtown be a factor this year? What kind of surgery did Crawford have? I really like watching him play. He is a beast when he wants to be. Sometimes a bit to unselfish if you ask me, but he does make everyone around him a lot better in certain situations.

The E Town kid seems to have good defensive skills and has good size at approx. 6'3. Josh Crawford is rehabing very well and expects to be tearing down rims this Fall.
